Chat Channels
Public
This is available to every user type and is also the primary channel for attendees to talk. For producers and Speakers this is your primary non-verbal way of engaging the audience.
Speakers
This is a private chat that only speakers and producers can see. This is the primary way to engage with your speakers outside of the Green Room.
Staff
Private chat only for producers. This is the primary way to engage with other producers outside of the Green Room.
DM
Private direct messages will be organized here. Direct messages can be with any user role. To initiate a DM you will need to hover over the user in the People Tab and click on the DM button to start.
Help
Organized area where users can start a help chat with the producers of the event. It is best to direct users having technical issues to go here rather than troubleshoot in the public chat.
Giphy and Emojis
You can add emojis and even gifs into the chat. Simply clicking emoji button to the right of the text field will create the pop up. You can also type /giphy [text] and it will also create a search for gifs.
Pinned Chats
You can pin important messages to public chat. These will stay at the very top of the chat feed and users can cycle through them. We don't have any limits to how many you can have.
How to add and remove pins
To pin a chat simply hover over the chat text > a pop up will appear > click 3 dots on the far right > select "Pin"
To remove a pin you should see a "Remove Pin" button in white appear at the top with the pinned chat. You can also do the same as you did to create a pin but now you will see unpin
Chat Reactions
Users can react to specific chats with some emoji options. By simply hovering over a chat a pop up will appear with reaction options.
