Welcome API Integration

Welcome provides an API that allows you to programmatically integrate third party applications with Welcome to better enhance your webinar or virtual event program.

Authentication

We use the Oauth 2.0 authorization code flow to authenticate API requests. The first step is to get a client ID and a client secret by creating a new API application from the event dashboard. You can do that by going to Integrations -> API -> New. You will need to choose a name and provide the callback URL on your site that will accept the authorization token. Once you do this, you will be given the client ID and client Secret. Copy this info immediately as it’s only shown once.

In addition to the client ID and client secret, this is what you will need to get your authentication token.
