Creating an engaging virtual event can be tricky and here at Welcome we want to give you the tools to create jaw dropping experiences. The use of Polls can facilitate engagement at anytime of an event and transform an environment of observation into participation.

Creating a Poll

• The Search Field at the top will only search for poll titles
• You can add up to 20 unarchived polls per stage

• Steps to Create Poll
• On the right side of the screen click on the Polls tab
• Click Add, to create a new poll
• Fill out the pop up fields
• Question - is limited up to 140 characters
• Options - you can either select create up to 10 options 30 characters each OR up to 5 options 60 characters each
• Show/Hide Results Toggle - option to show or  not show poll results to attendees
• Click Create at the bottom right when finished

Managing Polls

• At the top you have 3 options
• + sign to add poll to stage
• Three stacked dots
• Edit - allows modification to the Question, Options, and Show Results
• Duplicate - It will duplicate all the poll settings and essentially create a new poll (in the closed status). Its created and added to the top of the polls list like other new polls are.
• Archive - will be available in the post-event data
• Delete - will remove the polling data from our system
• Open - Opens voting to the attendees
• Two middle options
• On the left, you can minimize/maximize poll options shown
• On the right, allows you to swap Results Visibility

Open Polls

• Voting cannot be retracted once submitted. Clicking on an option is a submission
• Once you open a poll, your poll options change and you are no longer able to Edit, Archive, or Delete while it is open for voting
• Results. Attendees can always see their votes but results will be shown or not based on producer setting
• On Stage polls will redirect the voting to the stage to be clicked on instead of the Polls tab

Closed Polls

• After you have closed the poll, you will not be able to Edit or Delete but, you may Duplicate and Archive the poll
• You are also able to re-open the poll back up for further voting

Things to be Aware Of

Things that work

• Polls can be on stage with 4 speakers
• Polls can also be on stage with pre-recorded video

Things that don't

• Screen sharing does not work with Polls at the same time

Poll Data

You can access your polling data in your Event Dashboard under the Analytics tab on the left. In the tab you will have the option to download a CSV of the data set.
