Video On Demand Guide
So you have finished your jaw dropping event and now you want to share it so your attendees can relive it. This feature will do just that, it will give your attendees access to you event recordings. This feature is not only for those that attended the event. Depending on the permissions you have set, you may allow people who did not attend the event to access the recordings.
Enabling Event Recordings
You can find the settings to enable this feature under the Event Details of your Event Dashboard.
- Toggle "Make Recordings Available" to enable the feature. It will turn on the enable function for the videos in the event recordings page. (Defaults to Off)
- Auto Publish recordings - Enables Auto publishing, helps remove friction for cases where friction isn't needed. Internal events like all hands is a good example of where you would want it published as soon as its ready.
- Require registration to view - Can either require users needing to go through the registration process or access them anonymously. Additionally, if your event is set to Email Allow List then only users in your attendee list will be able to access the videos.
Publishing Videos
To publish videos, go to the Recording section of your Event Dashboard. Under every video you will see a toggle to Publish Recording. The Videos are sorted alphabetically and you are able to rename the files.
Accessing the Recordings as an Attendee
We made it very simple to access these recordings as an attendee. The process is exactly the same as going into a live event. The attendee will just need to go to the event link and it will take them to a slightly different view of the event login.
You can also get links for event recordings from your event Dashboard Overview page:
or you can use the url from your event's Home Page (click the start arrow on the event recording and it will open up the page with the url you can copy).
Uploading Videos
Your recordings are raw files and you may want to edit your videos and upload the edited videos back up. We can help you with that. In the dashboard you will see an "Add" button at the top right corner. Clicking that will create a popup for you to select the video you want to upload.
- Upload limit is 5 GB
- File type is MP4
